詩篇第五巻113篇　　

“Who is like You, Lord?”

　詩編113篇は、「ハレルヤ」で始まる3つの詩篇（詩篇111：1、112：1、113：1）の3番目で最後の詩篇である。

　多くの英訳聖書は、残念ながら "Hallelujah" を英語の "Praise the Lord" に置き換えています。ほとんどの人がすでに知っているように、"Hallelujah" は "Halel Yahweh" の短縮形であり、文字通り "Praise the Lord" を意味します。しかし、詩篇111篇や112篇と異なり、詩篇113篇だけは、もう一つの「ハレルヤ」で終わっています（詩篇113：9）。

　詩篇113で最も顕著なのは、神の名が呼ばれる回数の多さです。詩編113篇は9節しかありませんが、「ヤハウェ」という神名が8回出てきます。1節から3節までは、ヤハウェへの賛美が展開され、4節から6節は、私たちの主を崇め、高く持ち上げています。7節から9節は、ヤハウェが弱い者、必要な者をどのように救い出されるかを示しています。この詩篇の中心で最も際立っているのは、5節です。「だれが　私たちの神　主のようであろうか。主は高い御位に座し」（詩篇113:5）

　この節を振り返ってみましょう。「だれが　私たちの神　主のようであろうか。主は高い御位に座し」（詩篇113篇5節）。この聖句について、私たちは本当に深く考え、黙想しましょう。

　天地創造から時の終わりまで、すべての時間を一度に見ることができる方が他にいるでしょうか？（2節）。私たちの主のようなお方がこの世にいるでしょうか（4節）。不妊の女に自分の子供を恵んでくれる方がいるのでしょうか（9節）。

　さらに、こう考えてみましょう。天と地を創造された方は、どなたかいらっしゃいますか？（創世記1:1）。そして最後に、「...... 実に、そのひとり子をお与えになったほどに世を愛された。それは御子を信じる者が、一人として滅びることなく、永遠のいのちを持つためである」（ヨハネ3：16）と、私たちをこれほどまでに愛してくださる方が他にいるでしょうか？　 その方こそ、私たちの神であり、天の父であるヤハウェなのです。メリー・クリスマス

　天の父なる神さま、今日の御言葉をありがとうございます。あなたが誰なのか、私たちに考えさせてくださってありがとうございます。主よ、あなたのような方は他にはいません。この地球上でも、この宇宙全体でも、他の誰でもありません。私たちが賛美する価値のある方は、他にはいません。ハレルヤ！ハレルヤ！ハレルヤ！ハレルヤ！主をほめたたえます。父なる神さま、私たちを愛してくださり、私たち全員を救うためにひとり子イエスを遣わしてくださったことを感謝します。父なる神さま、ありがとうございます。私たちはあなたを愛しています! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen!

Psalm 113 is the third and last of three Psalms that begins with “Hallelujah” (Psalm 111:1; 112:1; 113:1). Many English translations of the Bible, unfortunately, replace “Hallelujah” with the English equivalent: “Praise the Lord.” As most of us already know, “Hallelujah” is a shortened way of saying “Halel Yahweh” which literally means “Praise the Lord.” Unlike Psalm 111 and 112, however, only Psalm 113 ends with another “Hallelujah” (Psalm 113:9). What is most noticeable in Psalm 113 is the amount of times that the divine name is called upon. Although there are only 9 verses in Psalm 113, the divine name “Yahweh” is mentioned 8 times. Verses 1 through 3 is an extended praise to Yahweh. Verses 4 through 6 exalts our Lord and lifts Him up high. Verses 7 through 9 shows how Yahweh delivers the weak and needy. What stands out most at the center of this Psalm is verse 5 that reads: “Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high” (Psalm 113:5)?

Let is reflect on this verse: “Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high” (Psalm 113:5)? Let us really reflect and meditate deeply on this verse. “Who is like the Lord our God, who is seated on high” (Psalm 113:5)? Who else can see all of time, from creation to the end of time, all at once (vv. 2)? Is there anyone on earth like our Lord (vv. 4)? Is there anyone who can bless a barren woman with a child of her own” (vv. 9)? Let’s take this further. Is there anyone else who created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1)? And finally, is there anyone else who loves us some much “. . . that He gave His only Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16)? There is only One, and He is Yahweh, our God, our Father in Heaven. Merry Christmas!

Thank you, heavenly father, for today’s Word. Thank you making us reflect on who You are. There is no one else like You Lord. No one else on earth and no one else in this entire universe. There is no one else who is worthy of all of our praises. Hallelujah! Hallelujah! Halel Yahweh! Praise the Lord. Thank you Father for loving us so much that You sent Your only Son Jesus to save us all. Thank You Father! We love you! In Jesus Name we pray, Amen.
